YOUR PROJECT WITH KEW

A clear route through development

Every product is different. We agree the route with you at the outset, with clear responsibilities and opportunities to review the work as it progresses.

01

Understand the opportunity

We talk about your product idea, brand, intended customer and markets, commercial goals and likely volumes. The initial conversation helps us both assess the fit and identify a way forward.

02

Agree the scope

We turn the brief into a development plan, setting out the work, responsibilities and staged development fees. If the scope changes, we discuss the implications before further work begins.

03

Develop the product and its presentation

We coordinate the formulation, packaging, testing and specialist support your product needs, bringing options back to you. Products in one range can be managed together across different facilities.

04

Refine and approve

We help you review samples, refine the formulation and packaging, and address any further work identified by testing. Firm pricing follows once the product and production route are sufficiently defined.

05

Produce and supply your finished goods

We coordinate production against the agreed specifications, supply your finished products and arrange dispatch to the agreed destination. You deal with Kew throughout.

06

Support what comes next

We work with your forecasts to plan repeat supply, coordinate changes and develop additions to your range. As volumes grow, we can assess and manage a different production route where it makes sense.

REVIEW AND APPROVAL

Know what you’re approving

For projects using our sample approval stages, each sample has a distinct purpose. We explain which stages apply to your product.

Bronze

Review the packaging

An empty pack lets you review the packaging and presentation before it contains product.

Silver

See product and pack together

Laboratory-made bulk is filled, sealed or labelled by hand as appropriate, so you can assess the proposed product and pack together.

Gold

Agree the production reference

A finished sample is taken after production. Once approved, it becomes the reference standard for future production.

SPECIALIST SUPPORT

The right work for your product

We coordinate concept and product development, packaging selection, appropriate testing, regulatory support and manufacturing, with third-party logistics coordination where agreed.

The requirements depend on the product and its intended markets. We bring in the relevant specialists for testing, documentation and labelling, and remain your commercial partner throughout.

Is your project a good fit?

We work with emerging and established brands on new products, range extensions, adaptations and supplier transfers.

Projects are typically suited to anticipated production runs of around 5,000 units or more per product, depending on the format and specification.
